Up to 5m Vessel Moorings

Found close into the shore for easy access and designed for small and shallow boats. These moorings are limited in number but there are often one or two free.  These moorings include a short chain stop made of 8mm chain and can have a tested carabiner fitted if needed for your boat. 

Up to 6.5m Vessel Moorings 

Designed for boats 21ft and under it makes for an easy way to get out on your boat. This size of mooring is great for sport fishing boats or day/weekend sailors.  These moorings include a short chain stop made of 8mm chain and can have a tested carabiner or rope strop fitted if needed for your boat.

Up to 8m Vessel Moorings

Fitting boats up to 26ft these are ideal for weekend cruisers or shorthanded sailing boats. Often the best availability of all the moorings as with an average draft of 1.5m they fit well in the available water.  These moorings include a chain strop of 10mm diameter, but rope strops and bridles are available for hire where chain isn’t appropriate.

Up to 9.5m Vessel Moorings 

Aimed at boats around 30ft these moorings are great for keeping your boat in between adventures or so that it is handy for evening racing.  These are among the most popular mooring sizes as a 30ft boat will take you anywhere you have time to sail!  These moorings include a chain strop of 10mm diameter, but rope strops and bridles are available for hire where chain isn’t appropriate.

Up to 11m Vessel Moorings

11m moorings are the most popular mooring we have. Occupied by everything from Falmouth’s famous working boats to family cruisers these are the most versatile and numerous of the serviced moorings.  These moorings include a chain strop of 12mm diameter, but rope strops and bridles are available for hire where chain isn’t appropriate.

Up to 13m Vessel Moorings

Falmouth harbour’s 13m facilities are aimed at boats between 36 and 42 feet long. These moorings are in some of the deepest areas of the harbour and are filled by ocean cruising power and sailing vessels.  Falmouth is a fantastic jumping off point for long range cruising so among these moorings there is often a boat or two preparing for a long voyage.  These moorings include a chain strop of 14mm diameter, but rope strops and bridles are available for hire where chain isn’t appropriate.

15m and 15m + Moorings

Boats up to 49ft or 65ft fill our largest moorings. These are grouped together for administration but come in two categories up to 15m and 15m + which generally means up to 20m. If your boat is larger, please do get in touch as we have a range of options for mooring boats of over 20m.  These moorings generally use a chain strop of 16mm or greater depending on the weight of the vessel.

Mooring Holiday Scheme

If you are planning to vacate your berth for any extended period in the summer season, we may be able to sub-let it to a visiting yacht through our “mooring holiday scheme” – to help them and reduce your fees at the same time. We will credit your account at the end of the season with 40% of any revenue generated. The sub-letting scheme is a great opportunity to reduce your fees with absolutely no downside for you. Simply email us with your name and mooring number to let us know when you are away, with a minimum of one week’s notice please and we will do our best to sub-let it for you.
