Visitors’ Moorings and Anchoring

As well as the Falmouth Haven Marina we have a number of deepwater moorings allocated for visiting yachts and an anchorage area. The moorings are located adjacent to the main channel – the anchorage area opposite Falmouth Docks.

ABOUT THE VISITORS’ ANCHORAGE

An anchorage area, centrally located between Custom House Quay and Falmouth Docks is suitable for use by small craft in most conditions. Harbour Dues are payable and please be aware that if you choose to anchor up, you may need to relocate to enable the movement of commercial ships in and around the docks, sometimes at short notice. For this reason please take note that:

  • All vessels that anchor must have a working engine
  • You must not leave your craft unattended at anchor for more than one hour and contact details must be provided to one of the Falmouth team
  • You must not leave your craft unattended at the anchorage overnight

Visitor Mooring Locations

Our 22 visitors’ moorings are marked with substantial green/yellow buoys. We have:

  • Nine moorings which will accommodate yachts up to 12.2m long.
  • Nine moorings which will accommodate yachts up to 18.2m long.
  • Four moorings which will accommodate yachts up to 24.3m long.

If you opt for a mooring, you can land your tender in a secure, dedicated area on our marina.
